MAPD

MAPD stands for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans. It is a type of health insurance plan that is offered by private insurance companies as an alternative to Original Medicare, which is the traditional fee-for-service program offered by the federal government. MAPD plans are designed to provide comprehensive health care coverage, including both medical services and prescription drug coverage, to eligible individuals who are enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B, and may also include additional benefits not covered by Original Medicare, such as dental, vision, and hearing coverage.
